NJID's Adult Day Programs serve persons with disabilities at five Adult Training Centers throughout New Jersey. Recognizing the individuality of every client, programs are tailored to exceed the expectations of the individuals and families who turn to NJID for services and supports.
Beginning with the creation of Individualized Service Plans, clients and their support teams identify personal needs and interests. Activities and opportunities are designed to support every person’s choices and potential. All NJID Day Programs are culturally-sensitive and reflect the diversity of the clients who are served.
While the services are individualized, the opportunities are limitless. Clients may be involved in Habilitation, Practical Arts or Life Skills Development. Clinical services ensure that health and wellness needs are addressed. Enhancements, which vary by location, bring innovation and enrichment to the program. Volunteer experiences for the clients are encouraged as pathways to full inclusion. Program participants are not spectators but community contributors, truly integrated and fully included.
